About Al-Rahma
Masjid Al-Rahma has served Muslims in Miami since 1998. What began as a rented storefront for Friday prayer is now a full-time masjid with five daily prayers, a weekend school and programs for every age.
A small group of families pooled their savings in 1998 to rent a storefront for Jumu'ah. Within five years the community bought its own land, and the current prayer hall opened in 2006.
Today about 600 people pray Jumu'ah here each week. The masjid is run by an elected board and dozens of volunteers, and it is funded entirely by community donations.
